Do People Vote Emotionally or Logically?

As the elections approach this year, I've been thinking about the idea of emotional versus logical voting. In my opinion, most of our decisions are based on emotions. When it comes to voting, our upbringing, daily influences, and the people we respect and interact with the most have a significant impact on our decision-making. I believe that many voters may not know the real policy differences between candidates beyond a few well-known policies.

While research suggests that ads have little effect on voter turnout, I do think that voter education often comes from campaign ads. This is concerning because as citizens, we have a responsibility to make informed decisions about who is best suited for the job, and relying solely on ads for information doesn't allow us to fulfill that duty effectively.

Check out the two links below as I found them very interesting on the psychological side of voting.
